JHM Butt are in a unique position as we are the only garage equipment firm to offer an extensive range of both workshop equipment and tooling. As a result of 50 years of sourcing, testing and selling thousands of products, we have developed a wide range of garage equipment that are absolutely essential in ensuring your workshop operates efficiently. In 2021 we moved in to a new premises that allowed us to double our capacity to stock, this has allowed us to increase our inventory and provide fast lead times. Our Range & Warranty

We provide a wide range of electro-hydraulic and electro-mechanical vehicle lifts including scissor lifts, 4 posts lifts, 2 post lifts and mobile columns. So if you’re looking for a lift to carry out general servicing, mot testing, a car lift for your home garage or need a 35T commercial scissor lift we can help. We can also assist with portable car lifts for home garages, at JHM Butt we are always conscious that customers need to have the safest equipment in your home garage. We have been advising on the best and safest equipment for garages for 50 years so please ask our sales team if you require any advice.

Some of our equipment comes with 3-year warranties as standard, others come with a 5-year extendable warranty with a service plan taken out. For instance, some of our portable car lift warranties can be extended up to 3 years with a service plan. Wheel Care

In addition to garage lifts, we also have a dedicated wheel care team who can provide the highest quality wheel balancing equipment, tyre changing equipment and wheel alignment equipment depending on your budgets. In addition to this, we can also provide the tyre tools and every day tyre consumables ensuring we stay consistent in our one stop shop offering. If you’re setting up a new tyre bay or just need to replace some equipment, we have in-house dedicated tyre and wheel care specialists who can offer great technical and practical advice when purchasing this particular type of garage equipment.

Outside of car and van tyre equipment, we also provide commercial tyre changers and truck wheel balancers suitable for trucks, tractors and other HGVs. Our considerable range of wheel care equipment allows us to cover a wide range of fleet services and workshops across the UK.

After Sales Support & Back Up

JHM Butt places a high emphasis on training on your garage equipment, we know that if you’re buying a piece of equipment from us you want to be confident that your technicians/yourself are well equipped to meet your customer’s requirements. For instance, when purchasing a wheel alignment system or ADAS system from us we offer optional additional training packages depending on your requirements. Our specialists can spend a day with your technicians and your customer’s cars giving real world practical demonstrations and advice.

The big advantage with using JHM Butt is that we have decades of in-house engineering knowledge that most firms do not have. All our engineers are GEA accredited and receive regular training to ensure they stay up to date with current regulations relating to ropes and vehicle lifting equipment. A lot of online garage equipment companies don’t have their own engineers and therefore you (the customer) are reliant on another firm’s engineers for back up and support, you may not have a purchase history with these other firms and therefore have uncertainty regarding their levels of service. For instance, what happens if that piece of equipment breaks down a year after your warranty expires? Will that firm being able to support you with quick call outs and garage equipment spares? This is rarely the case.

JHM Butt have a dedicated spares department, breakdown/repair department and installation department, resources such as this allows us to provide excellent back up support. The majority of emergency breakdowns are attended the same day or next day if possible. We understand how much money garages lose if their car lift goes down or if their roller brake tester is out action, so we make your equipment a priority.
