Our Class 0 electrical matting is the ideal flooring solution for protecting against low voltages in manufacturing plants. The matting is tested in order to conform with IEC 61111:2009 European standards. Using this specification, we are able to produce thinner matting without compromising on safety.

The electrical matting features a fine ribbed top surface as well as a cloth finish on the underside. These ribs serve two main purposes. First of all, the ribs greatly increase the surface area of the matting, which helps to disperse electrical discharge. Finally, the ribs improve the grip of the matting, which provides excellent anti-slip properties even when wet. The cloth underside also features the IEC 61111:2009 specification stamped at regular intervals.

The specification is crucial as it ensures that all new electrical matting is manufactured to the same criteria. It also helps to separate the electrical matting into different classes depending on the maximum voltage they can protect against. This enables you to quickly and easily select the appropriate electrical matting for your application. The electrical insulation matting classes are separated as follows:

The maximum tested voltage ensures that the electrical matting does not deteriorate when exposed to high voltages. Please note: you should not confuse this with the working voltage, which outlines the maximum voltage the mats can efficiently withstand for long periods of time.
